Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Network Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security. This role requires expertise in networking protocols, hardware, and troubleshooting techniques to support seamless business operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless devices.
- Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and provide timely resolutions.
- Ensure network security by implementing best practices, including firewalls, VPNs, and access control policies.
- Manage and maintain network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
- Support and configure LANs, WANs, and cloud-based networks.
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to enhance network efficiency and security.
- Conduct network performance analysis and capacity planning.
- Stay up to date with the latest networking technologies and trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or in a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with network hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, or Fortinet.
- Experience with network security principles, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.
- Familiarity with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is a plus.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+ are preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
